I got that beat. You know how they check for glaucoma with that little machine that blows a puff of air in your eye? I once went to a guy who was so old-school that instead of that, he put some numbing drops in my eye and proceeded to tap on my eyeballs with a rubber mallet.
At my eye doctor, they put numbing drops in my eye and had some little machine touch it verrrrryyyyyyyyyy slowly. It took almost a minute from start to finish, most of which I spent trying to suppress the "THAT BRIGHT THING IS NEAR YOUR EYE AND GETTING CLOSER WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING MOVE MOVE FUCKING MOOOOVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!" instinct. (This apparently showed that I did not, in fact, have glaucoma and the test was utlimately pointless. I would have thought that not having any symptoms whatsoever of glaucoma would have been a good enough indicator, but I suppose not.)

My friend's dad got a metal filing in his eye.  They numbed it then used a spinny brush to buff it out.

Fuck.

Listened through all of Trout Mask Replica again. It's weird in so many ways and I fucking love it.

Spoiler: Aforementioned song. (click to show/hide)
Holy shit that's like a spiral of insanity. How the hell'd you manage that?

Practice on harder songs.
That one's fast as hell, but it's not very congested.
Most of its difficulty comes from the constant turning.

Okay, I'll bite. What game is that?

Cursory glances at Youtube and Google say that this is very popular. This is what I get for living under a rock, I guess.

For the record, you can find a video on Youtube of any song being played on Audiosurf. Yes, even that one.

Nope.
I've played songs that are forever alone ;_;.
Seeing as I'm the only one who's played them, there is no video.

Youtube videos....so...colorful....so...confusing...

So, srsly, what should I expect? There didn't seem to be rhyme or reason to the colored bits that you have to collect.

Depends all on the song your playing. Faster songs have a downward slope that has more high-value blocks, while calmer songs go upwards and don't give much points.

I have no idea what exactly determines the position of the blocks or the curves though.

I wish I could place my gaming experience on my resume. Just imagine the sheer number of undeniable soft skills related to beating Nethack 3 times:

Patience
Planning
Preparation
Cautiousness
Attention to detail
Lateral thinking
Goal-oriented thinking
Problem solving
Calm and collected
Reading comprehension (gotta read that wiki, through and through!)
Good memory (Memorizing nearly the entire damn wiki)

and I'm sure some more I'm not thinking of at the moment.

I am happy today though, because I'm getting a part-time job for the next five weeks working in my school's infirmary for minimum wage. This might compound ontop of the money I'd get also being a camp mentor, so even more money before I go out and get my own place.

So, say, "Primal Concrete Sledge" by Pantera should be extremely hectic (although short) whereas something like "La Villa Strangiato" by Rush would be significantly easier, even though it's more complex?

With "him" do you mean the cyclops or Kratos?

Because I'm fairly sure Kratos could take on an intermediate eldritch horror.
Kronos couldn't top Naija of Aquaria fame. She killed something like 5 gods, in her first game, and then settled down to start a fucking family with a guy she magiked to breath underwater.
