I got philosophy class let out early because I made the prof's head hurt. He started waxing about the nature of the universe and I started teaching a physics lesson. What the hell kind of professor has never even heard of a quark?

Holy crap, why did I not start watching One Punch Man earlier? This is the best thing.

 Something Awful dark fantasy tabletop game review: "Welcome to our role playing world based on Cannibal Corpse album covers."

 It's funny because it's kind of like that.

Edit: Woah, dwarfy.

I liked VIII because it was probably one of the best (fantasy) depictions of being a teenager, through metaphorical speech, that I've ever seen.  Eeeeeeever.  Squall was an angsty ass who everyone else calls out for it, at the same time as they pull all their own stupid shit.  The writers didn't do the usual thing of "OMFG cool teenager."  Squall rolls around on his bed thinking about the past and stonewalling people in a way that everyone else gives him crap for--just as you'd expect.  His father figure (Cid) isn't the usual cool son -> COOLER FATHER stereotype.  He's strong in many ways, but also has some ineffectual and horrible sides to him.  Same thing goes for Laguna.  I just thought that somehow, all the characters seemed very real to me, despite their rather severe lack of development in some cases.
FF8 was... sad really. I loved the story, and as you say, the characters were very well-written. Some further development AWAY from being a normal whiny teenager might have been nice, but it was still good. Problem is? Same as 12, I was unable to even finish the game, because the battle system was just too frustrating. It's not as bad as some claim, but it's rather frustrating being PUNISHED for using the magic I worked so hard to get. Makes the best strategy to just slap 99 ultimas on everyone's strength and hit attack over and over.
"Aah fuck i forgot to junction Ifrit this morning guys i need to take a shit help"-Some guy off of an Rm board talking about the FF 8 battle system.

In X it's "Lame son -> Awesome father". Too bad we never get to play as Jecht.
That's why I like Dissidia; you get to have play as Jecht and beat Tidus's whiny ass all over the place. It's not as satisfying though, because in Dissidia, Tidus isn't a whiny annoying bitch and actually admits that he isn't the star of the show.

I'd like to remind everyone that half of the time I don't even know what I'm talking about. The other half of the time I only sort of know what I'm talking about.

morrowind morrowind morrowind

It's not worth making a new thread: weekends are my "boot up nostalgic awesome games time" and I'm wondering what MUST-HAVE mods there are for Morrowind. Oblivion won't run on my computer, really at all, so even though I want to use Oblivion's mods, I'm gonna have to settle with Morrowind ;_;

I got an odd coin from a casher who must have thought it was a quarter from a customer that thought it was a quarter. Front has a head in the center and Repvbblic Italiana around the edge and the back has a guy in the buff (supposedly) smithing with the year 1973 on one side of him and L.50 on the other. Little bit of research shows that it is from Italy and is a 50 Lire piece.

Cool.
