Just burned all of my English work from last year as a sort of effigy of my English teacher.
Burn, burn, burn.
Hahahahaha.
So fucking beautiful watching the wind catch the ashes and seeing them spin around in the air.
And the whole sheets curling up and tumbling about as they rapidly turn grey and crumble.
And the crumpled balls, that fwoosh and burn with such amazing intensity.
I fucking love fire, and the feeling of burning an effigy is almost as satisfying as watching the actual person burn.

I've considered that.
I was once close friends with a girl who started doing that kinda stuff when she was 8.

Well, there's fire poi, hula hoop, fans, baton, staff, the ever-magical contact staff, swords + weapons of all sorts, anything you can imagine on fire...

If you want pointers I can point you in various directions but you take all responsibility. ahem.

Just had a really good conversation with my housemate (the sort of leader dude of everyone living in the house), and we're watching Sherlock Holmes on Tuesday.  Plus, after I told him about the difficulties with my female roommate, not naming the person who had done all of this basically abusive crap, he treated me really kindly.  He also told me he'd give me a good recommendation letter for housing if I needed one.  And, that after I move out, he wants to keep being friends.  That I'm a good person, and he wants me to make more friends and have more people to tell me that I'm a good person, and to nurture me.  And, that I'm just plain fun to hang out with.

So I'm happy, even if I couldn't finish studying for my German test and have to get up at 4-5 tomorrow to finish cleaning house and to do all that work.  Really, really happy.

I have to ask. How long does it take to learn to do that sort of stuff? Both me and my brother have an affinity for fire, and being able to fire dance or whatever it's called would make a neat party trick, and if what you say is true, a good fall back job.

Add 5 to the bunch. My personal favorite, if only for the crochety old man and the Tree Gaulf and the evil villain.

Actually, I'm strange in that I practiced for years before using fire. Then again I was one of the raver kids with glowsticks when I was 16 hitting up underground parties and running away from the cops when they got busted.

I've seen people spin with fire less than a week after starting practice - but that was under supervision and strict intensive teaching. Most take a few months of practicing with non-fire before making that first time lighting up special. It depends on the skill you want and the time you're willing to put in. If you're just in it for flash you can do any inordinate amount of flashy dumb crap and people will still be impressed, also helps if you're a woman or hot. That's just how the show business goes.

I'm not going to lie. I used to be a huge super-geek (still am, but used to too) that didn't know how to dance. Poi was what got me into learning to be comfortable with my body, learning to dance, a stepping stone to ballroom dancing, and competing in ballroom while at uni.

Really, really happy.

How about 3? You know, that weird Japanese one that we didn't get till like a decade after it was made.

Oh, cool!  Haha, I hope you get Vincent.  He was always my favorite character :3

Not VIII, though?

Hurm... yeah, I'm looking forward to hearing about your escapades!  Especially in FFIX, because that one's my favorite.

Anyway, I should go to sleep now because I am mega-tired and, you know, test and stuff.  But have a good time playing.

Finished 4 and 5 yesterday

Haha, I approve.  Good commitment =)
