Yes, start off kind of lame, and when people start telling you to do it faster, say "Very well, I'll show you my true power"

Then scream at the top of your lungs for a few minutes and start firedancing really fast.

You know, the American DBZ voice actors apparently got all kinds of throat polyps and crap.  I heard from an interview that Goku's voice actor, in that one 1-or-2-minute long scream in... I think the Brolly movie, actually felt part of his throat detach from the rest of his esophagus.

Or maybe that was Sabat, Vegeta's voice actor, and it was some other horrifying thing that happened for what's-his-face.

But in any case, that's a really, really hard job.

I don't know why this stuff is so energizing.
You were just charging up your power level.

I suddenly want to hear Kael yell that while brandishing his blades of flame.
The last time I lit my fire swords we did mock combat with my "sensei" and I ended up singeing my eyelashes and inhaling the combined flames emanating from the four chinese dao.

I'm not opening my mouth during that again. Apparently we got amazing professional pictures though. Need to wait for my friend to go through the raw files.

This is why I don't firebreathe.

That's crazy, because I was just opening this tab up to say "Man, I bet the voice actors for DBZ got all kinds of laryngeal cancer"

My favorite was the first time Goku went Level 3.  That was the only episode I've ever seen where most of it was actually just screaming.  And it was awesome.  8)

And Dragonball(z) gets credit for being one of very few anime where I enjoyed the dubbing.

Just watched Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Best romantic comedy I've ever seen.

How do they not have editors?  I mean, just scream for a few seconds, and then loop the middle.

I remember my friends and I wanted to make the standard alien fighter uniforms as Halloween costumes, and made a halfassed attempt at the big shoulders, but we realized there was no way in Hell we were wearing speedos.

My respect for you has suddenly risen 8-fold.

Honestly, it was mostly the idiocy of wearing speedos with football pads.  Shorts and football pads looked pretty awful, and it didn't really occur to us to use tights, because we were 11.

And since there will never be an appropriate time to post it again, music video.

I grew up on unfiltered Japanese Dragonball. I do miss the entirely silly and hypersexual ridiculousness of the original.

"10 things I hate about you" and "50 first dates".

First one because it's hilarious as far as Shakespearean remakes in the 90s can be, and second one because of how unintentionally creepy the entire premise is.

This must be what it would be like to live in an alternate universe where Beck is Japanese.

You shouldn't post things like this when I'm medicated, bro.

Whoops there goes reality. :S

I used to hate it.

Then I realized that sometimes, laughing at how bad something is is worth a hell of a lot.  Used to have all kinds of wonderful voice clips bookmarked.

New favorite thing.  Faaaaaavorite thing.  This is the best.  Thank you so much.

Yeah, I like the original manga best as far as flat out storytelling.  The dub does have a certain... something... about it, though.

Hoho, I'll second this.  50 First Dates is kind of horrifying, and 10 Things I Hate About You was pretty much the only romantic comedy I was willing to watch in my pubescent years.

Oh.  I also have to suggest Pumpkin, which is just amazing.

I'll check it out. I'm also a sucker for the original Korean "My Sassy Girl", if only because I can relate all too well.

And because I know you hardly check PMs, Vector. Were you thinking of making the Bay12 meet next month? I'm starting to scrounge together a carpool.

It's like Jersey Shore Z.  I especially love where he's standing under the disco ball like the spirit bomb.

I have a feeling you (Vector) wouldn't like it, at least by my description, but my favorite romantic comedy (i.e. the only one I can watch), is Love Stinks with French Steward and Bridgette Wilson.  It's a completely different kind of happy ending, it's like the anti-romantic comedy.  Which was especially weird, because the first time I saw it was with my parents, while they were in the middle of divorcing, and my dad couldn't believe how many of the movie's lines they had said to each other for real.

There's also I Married An Axe Murderer, which is just hilarious.

It's pretty cool to see people discussing that stuff. I care, but I don't contribute for fear of choking on my foot ;D

Well, come by sometime when we're not in the middle of an argument and feel free to chat around, okay?  I'm actually pretty darned forgiving, and if I eat you I'm usually happy to turn around and play nice in a couple of minutes.

It's always great to see another familiar face =)

Will do :) I'm happy now because I just ate an entire Subway footlong thingy and had Mountain Dew to go with it :D it's such a turnaround from not eating anything at all the day before.
