Workday is progressing quickly without a lot to do, and I'm actually finding time to study Mandarin. It's kinda painful to realize how much I've forgotten, but at the same time I've got this feeling like "Yeah, I can do this."

Of course, when I was learning it in formal classes, it would be like two days of "Yeah, I got this down. Wo zhidao Putonghua, motherf**kers." followed by a day of "OMG what language are these people speaking? Am I even in the right class?". So YMMV.

I didn't know this! I've heard Tenshi and Yumi thrown around, but I've never heard of a third one.

We received our year books today so I was able to see how much people like me and now I have the rest of the day to play Minagoroshi.  I wish my throat stopped hurting though, it's all inflamed again.

When I was in fifth grade I drew moustaches and devil horns on everybody in my yearbook.

My parents were pissed, I don't know why.  It's not anybody wants to remember fifth grade.

Oral went awesome.

Talked a bit about information overflow and even got some agreeing nods when I mentioned biased information sources (guess which) that didn't get mentioned in the texts.
