I can't believe people used to think I had a "systematizing" mind.  I have no candles on this dude and his four interests.  None of them.
I got some buddies who I really don't have much in common with and yet we are best buds. 'cuz they are awesome, and apparently I'm alright, so things work out.

Don't worry about their interests too critically. If you considered them being a friend then there may have been other reasons you two got friendly other than those four interests. I know things don't always work out, but don't write things off too early. I believe in you buddy! ;D

Somebody translated the Ace Attorney Investigations 2 Demo so if you want to play it as badly as I do you can now.  Just start playing the demo alongside the translation and follow along.

It has all the ROJIKKU CHESU, all of it.

Oh, see, we've been in class together for two days, and the reason why I considered him a potential friend was because he was the only other tech/science person in the class.

Otherwise, he seems really boring, as do pretty much all of the other students in the class.  Boring, studious, and ... just generally dull.  I'm sure not writing them off yet, but I'm definitely going to be proceeding more cautiously than not.

If he's that gaga about Minecraft and programming, he's probably into other games.  I'd give it a shot, but yeah, boring studious people don't exactly make great game buddies.  They just kinda quiet veg out and watch you play Metal Gear for hours on end without saying anything, or when holding the controls play with manic intensity to the exclusion of conversation.

If you're interested in online games or livestream bullshittery, there's always Steam.

The good news: it's already out!

The bad news: it's not gonna get an official translation (at least, it's been stated that there are no plans for one at any point).  So Big Klingy has instead resolved to post the entire transcript of the game, which could... kindof work.

Nah, I asked him--when I said he only had four interests, I meant that I probed him and the only game he fessed up to liking was Minecraft.  "Anything else?"  "Not really."

Oh, and a mod of a mod of a mod of Quake III, but that's it >___________>

Yeah, I'm going to probably stream summat in a while (working on learning about how to put it up on the Youtubes), and I do own a copy of Civ IV.  Maybe I'll try to organize an online game of that in a while.  Unfortunately, my games budget is very, very small.  In a few years, though... watch out.

1. I've never played it

2. He knows about it and isn't really interested.

Tried (though only Terraria).  I'm telling you, man, he's just not interested, and I don't really want to bug him too much more with the video game talk.  That, and... he never brings up topics of conversation or asks questions, just sits there laughing at my jokes =/

Besides, he's from Oregon, so anything would be very short-term at the best.

The great thing about Steam is that other people can buy games for you (and you can do the same if and when).  It's an awesome system, when it feels like working anyway.
