Am I the only one who laughed at the puddle of white under the blimp knowing that there were thousands of other people who fell off the thing and added to that puddle?

I'm more impressed with some diagonal pillars that jut into the air. These are straight lines of death points, making me wonder what could have caused people to die in such precise patterns in the air. And apparently a lot of people crashed into the sides of buildings.
Quite likely those diagonals were AI flightpaths. Quite a few of my deaths were from such an event in which I decided to go surfing on top of an AI jetfighter or plane, only to have them turn, knocking you off, wherein you fall and hit the side of the plane as it passes. Or just being silly and shooting the plane out from under yourself only to realize afterwards that it explodes and kills you when you do so. The big cloud of air-death around one of the islands is from a mission in which if you do not eject from your plane, it spontaneously explodes for story reasons.

Holy crap, this video is amazing if you have ever played Just Cause 2:
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/05/27/just-cause-2-deaths-video/
It's a map created using the sum of all the location data about the 11 million total player deaths in-game, with each dot being 1 player death. There are enough that you can actually make out all the important features of the entire map. :O
They record where you die if you're online?  Hehehe

Ah, those aren't actually total deaths. Those are simply deaths via impacting objects or terrain... But yeah, of course they record it. Having huge quantities of meta-data about player activity is really useful for analyzing and improving your game design.

I'm probably months late to the real party (if the pages are anything to go by), and not really a Redditor of any note, but I have fallen head over heels into the worship of Lord Inglip.

Lord Inglip. It is I, Brother Sabox. I know that I've come to your private chamber a bit earlier than requested, but I... is that a TV on in there? What are you watching?

Spoiler: mmmm Clewes (click to show/hide)
My lord, we had a meeting. Are you... wait, "Turn it On?" Tell me it isn't erotic "home-improvement" videos again...

Y-yes, my lord! I appear to have come at a bad time. I shall return to my studies with great haste!

Huzzah, start of a four-day weekend!

And today, after the outreach, I'm tired, and nearly collapsing due to heat exaustion. Then the supervisor I was with pulls into an ice cream parlor and says "Ice cream on me?"

HELL. YES.

I got a root beer float, but my stupid ass didn't realize they wanted you to put the root beer into the ice cream yourself, so I ate the ice cream seperately. Then again, it's fairly tricky pouring root beer into a mostly-filled cup of ice cream while in a cargo truck barreling down a crappily-built expressway, and I didn't want to get anything on my new shirt.

Huzah, start of one-week holiday! Another one!

I feel like watching one of the movies I got recently, and I also felt like shoving them up into my livestream.

There's a choice of Four Lions or Hot Fuss, and the stream will probably be up in a quarter of an hour.

EDIT: Procaster, the dick, needs to update. Three times, apparently.

Spent the better part of the past week helping my dad out with fixing the labyrinth of pipes that is the pumping system keeping our basement from flooding due to a spring under the house by adding twice as many pipes to dozens of new questionable locations. Now we are trying to divert the water up the hill so it can water the garden before flooding the immediate area around our house into a well-disguised swamp. There are also plans of replacing the black tubing we used for taking water to the curb with PVC piping so the front yard will stop being a marsh. I fear the EPA will be on our asses for destroying vital wetlands our state is so proud of. And the last three EPA agents who ventured into our front lawn and never returned.

I'm mostly happy that if my dad doesn't talk we work together really well. In silence we know exactly what the other will do and make sure everything is handled. When he talks things just crumble in a mass of confusion, bilingual misunderstandings and personal attacks with bitter poison. Weird, but I'm glad that at least in some situations we are united.

Funny how every father-son team has a dynamic, or lack thereof as the case may be.  I'm actually fairly handy, even if I'm not knowledgeable about a lot of things being handy applies to.  But anytime I'd try to help my dad work on a car or repair the house, I would constantly give him the wrong tool or get my hands in the way or fail to tighten a bolt to his satisfaction, and hear about it endlessly.  Until I was about 21, then all of sudden I not only knew what the fuck I was doing, but could actually demonstrate it in his presence.  Don't know what happened there.  I don't know if him talking or not talking had much to do with it, but I know he always functioned better with a drink or two, so maybe him being lightened up kept me from getting nervous and flustered.
