I'm considering maybe streaming the original system shock on my livestream channel sometime soon for a change of pace. Might be fun and I sure as hell wanna play it again. It's gonna be the anniversary of the first time I played it soon even (may 19th).

After watching you squee and rage about a very manly videogame over two threads, I'll drop a friendly reminder that I made a thread all for Metal Gear.  Just sayin', and you won't be spoiled too much.

Yeah, yeah.  Somehow, though, I didn't want to clog up that thread with my gut reactions of a. horror or b. squee.

But, oh well.  I shall go bust thataway and stop bothering the two main threads here.  Thank you for the reminder.

Clog away.  If anything, I made it in the hope of getting gut reactions, even though I said right up front there'd be massive spoilers everywhere.  But the games are all so long and convoluted and self-referential that nobody's going to remember anything important anyway.

I won't post anything else about it here,

But I beat the game, which makes me quite cheerful.

I went to Kings Island yesterday.  It was cold and I only had a t-shirt so I used that as an excuse for why I couldn't ride anything big'n'scary because squid's afraid of rollercoasters :c

Next time we go though I'm going to have to ride the vortex.  I made a bet over it.  It has 6 inversions and I've never been on one with one inversion.  I can't even mentally visualize going in a loop.  :C

Finland won the International Hockey World Championship, so how do the Finns celebrate?

By getting drunk and naked in the streets. At night. When it's still only like 40-45 F.

You could retitle this, "Finns beat descendants of Vikings, celebrate like Vikings"

Meh, real vikings would have celebrated by writing bad poetry about the event and fall asleep at the tables from having one too many of their really weak beverages. Because that's how real men does it.

Meh, real vikings would have celebrated by writing bad poetry about the event

And forth strode Antti Goal-scorer
Wielder of the mighty Lappenstick
Hat trick its name is, and Swede-killer and Puck-smiter
He charged forth and did battle with Dahlstrom, eorl of the blue line
O! Sing you sons of Suomi for his battle was great
and the lights ran red with his scoring
