The ambitious France has been cut down for the second, and most likely last time, retaining only a handful of provinces and even less vassals - any future conflict with them will be far from uncertain. Now is the time to turn to the German electors and secure my place as Emperor, so I can build up enough forces to deal with the growing threat of English presence on the continent, and their foul Spanish allies.

The great German warmachine has stalled against the fortresses of Belgium, thanks to French reinforcements and the Belgian foresight. The extended Maginot line is keeping Germany in check, even if we can't counter-attack yet. But forces are being built, and who knows what the USSR is planning.

A friend of mine was dismayed that someone has already created a Facebook page titled, "I remember where I was when I heard Osama bin Laden was killed". Only two days after the actual event.

I suggested a counter-page titled, "I remember where I was when I read this page". And he did it.
