Oh, absolutely. I've played through more times than I cared to have counted. I stopped playing in the middle of my lowest level run.

Have you heard Robo's Song? It's basically every line he has in the game, remixed into a catchy tune.

Yup!  Didn't finish it, but I played through almost the entire thing.  It was great, and I loved Toriyama's character designs.

Well, you should have (not least because I had an easier time beating it than any FF), because all of the endings are great.  Of course, there's like six main endings, a few joke endings, the Developer Room ending, with like 107 including all possible variations.

I'm tired of how seriously some people take it.  It seems like it isn't that fun if you don't take it seriously, but then it's really easy to turn into taking things too seriously and then you've got folks who will talk about nothing but D&D and whose entire lives revolve around the game.  It's not that it's inherently bad to like D&D that much, just that I find those people very difficult to talk to.  Especially when they start memorizing the rulebooks.

Wait, are you talking about Chrono Cross, or about Trigger?

Ya'll should try it out.

I'm definitely talking about Chrono Trigger.  As far as I'm concerned, Chrono Cross was a totally unrelated fangame, which I haven't played much of.  Yeah, Trigger has tons of different endings (most of them variations on a few main ones), and surprisingly for a SquareSoft game, especially of the day, all of the end-game bonus dungeons are actually entertaining.

Well, except maybe Cyrus' tomb.  That was a pain in the ass.

Hm.. Oblivion time goo.

And no Janet. Its Vanilla.
Heh, I understand the lack of lolis, but why play it vanilla? It's at serious disadvantage that way, both gameplay- and contentwise.
..but I guess that wouldn't really be news to anyone. Still kinda wondering though ;)

Haha, okay.  Maybe I'll play that sometime, then.  As for Radiant Historia, the dev staff history looks pretty good... hurm.

Ok I'm sure that i am not that hardcore over it, I'm only in it for the funZ and lulz. Closest hardcore would be the LARPing.

Ill actually come out and say I like Chrono Cross non ironicly. It's a good game dammit, don't bash on it just because it's related to a game that was for all intents and purposes more innovative when it came out in comparison. It had great music, a good if complicated story (To me at least) and hell it was the first JRPG I was honestly really into. I have good memory's of spending a winter curled up in a blanket in front of the TV in me and my sisters drafty apartment playing it with her.

Yeah, I had friends comparing it to Chrono Trigger, which... as far as jrpgs go imho is fairly untouchable. I'm not usually a big fan of such games, but a great game is a great game.

Chrono Cross definitely had good music, I just couldn't follow the story very well.  Since I didn't own it, I didn't get to spend much time with it.

I was also direly confused on whether some of the characters were men or women.

Maybe I should replay it for you guys on my stream some day. But I still got Super Meat boy, Assult suits Valken, front mission: Gun hazard and Metal saga all lined up so it might be a while.

I was also direly confused on whether some of the characters were men or women.
After reading guides that contradicted gender identifications used in the game I still don't know a few.

I said it before and I'll say it again: Chrono Cross was a decent JRPG whose only really damning features were being related to Chrono Trigger and not telling you what to do when you have a hundred different places to possibly go. The plot itself wouldn't have been too bad if the characters did a better job of summarizing what was going on. Kidd was in a prime position for explaining a lot of that stuff but never did that much grah.

And my sister beat the game without ever knowing that a combo system existed in the combat system.
