You can't put portals on mars though.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Wouldn't that make portal guns useless outside the facility, then?

Y'all and yer fancy-schmancy handheld portal devices.
Back in my day, we had to mine our own naqahdah, build a stargate, and plug in random coordinates, hoping we'd dial into another stargate.

Oh, Heliman, how exactly insanly powerful is your computer?
Thankfully since I built it I still have all the parts committed to memory:

Case: Coolermaster HAF922
(Beautiful case, lots of room for a mid tower.)
Power supply: Raid Max (1000W),

RAM: 2x Kingston Genesis DDR3 4GB (8GB overall)
(I wanted Corsair vengeance, but the parts I ordered for it were faulty and made my comp flicker on and off when I started it.
Liquid Coolant: Corsair H70

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB, 7200rpm

Video card: 2x MSI Twin Frozr 6950 (4GB overall)
(Someone once suggested just an AMD 6990, but I found those to cost over 700 dollars a pop, causing my moneybags to shrivel *innuendo*)

CPU: Intel i7 2600K Sandybridge (3.4 Ghz, 1155 socket)

Motherboard: MSI P67A GD80

Software: Windows 7 Home premium OEM

It's all unclocked ATM because I'm still making sure the cooling system is working properly, but once I do nothing will stop me. Curiously, the Motherboard has a little overclocking
button you can push right on the board. Very cool.

Heliman, how much CPU's (I think another name for them is cores) do you have?

I finally finished my really-big rhetoric post.  No one will read it, but that is okay.  It is an absolutely beautiful argument, and I feel better for having created it.  The first part is on the American eugenics movement and the intelligence test, as well as women in mathematics.  The next part is on Axis Powers Hetalia, Afuganisu-tan, and Scandinavia and the World.  The last part is on Homestuck.

I also wrote a post that people seem to have found very interesting.  That is nice.

Now I just have to finish putting together my presentation for tomorrow.  Fortunately, I have most of it already put together in my head, so I just have to get it right.

I am a little bit scared, but I have support from three corners of the internet (autistic forum, progressivist blog, and here) and one corner of reality (rhetoric professor), so I am just going to do my best and see how it goes.

Four. I wasn't intending on there being so many, but it just sort of ended up that way.

Well now I have to read it because I've been challenged!

Your computer is very good. Use it wisely!

Just to bring it up, I once saw a computer that had about 8 gigs of ram and 4 cores, each with about 6.0 ghz of power.

It was awesomely overclocked.

No-linking.  It is for a class, and is on their private discussion board.  Also possibly about 5 pages long or more.
