Why be a vegetarian if you like steak? From the medicinal point of view, it's not a healthy diet and from an ethic point of view, we grow those animals, so we can eat them - how is it different for plants?

There is a difference between a picture of a steak, enjoyed for its visual qualities, and an enjoyment of the taste of flesh.

If it was moving around, I don't want to eat it.  That's my opinion, which I believe I should be allowed to hold without being jumped on or argued with, because if it's hurting anyone it's only hurting me.  My vice, my choice.

I, personally love the smell of meat on a grill.
But I don't like the taste.
Meanwhile, octopuses are one of my favourite animals and yet, I love calamari.

Meanwhile, cats are one of my favourite animals and yet, I love chicken.

Point:  IIRC calamari refers to squid, which is distinct from octopus.  Feel free to correct me, though.  It'll make for great trivia the next time I order calamari.

I could argue with that, but I won't.

@Janet: Spoilers due to size please.

Edit: bwahaha, I know the way ein loves squids...

Squid is delicious. And tentacles are one of those fetishes I would never admit to have if I was asked about it by someone I know in RL.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
