But yeah, Amon Amarth, cool and all, but not really viking metal.

if that's not a female vocalist, it sounds almost like a certain celebrity. If a male vocalist joins in later on, no I didn't hear it because I stopped when I heard female vocals.

So hard to find good female vocals. They are all trying to do the Madonna thing to show how 'strong' and 'independent' they are! How very shallow. Plumtree had sugar sweet vocals, and a lot of their songs were a great big 'fuck you' to guys that acted like jerks.

I do so love some soft female vocals, like Regina Spektor or M2M.

Was enjoying Embrace of the Endless Ocean a while ago.  Love that song.  There's a great piano cover of it on youtube also.  I don't understand how it's not viking metal.

Grindcore's alright. Well, the varients of it are. I think Grindcore's mediocre but I like Deathgrind.
