Today's Steam sale. Got more of my collection back from it, plus a game I haven't tried out yet I've been meaning to.

The smell of them, mixed with potatoes or not, would make me vomit, and I really don't have enough me for that to be healthy :P
So I'm reasonably safe from Yumi slipping 'em in my spuds

I got a $5,000 grant for college and if I write an essay for this scholarship I have I'll probably get $20,000 for that.  Then I have a bunch other ones that are all lesser cash, but whatever I'll do that too because fuck it.

Still have to pay the $150 acceptance fee but ehehehehe not as hard.

I hate the taste, smell and texture of 'em.
Then again, I dislike lots of foods, thankfully none of them are cheap so I can't have them anyway

Been poor myself. As a kid we used to go in after the combine harvesters and gleen the stuff that was left to rot in the field. We once had green beans three times a day for over 3 months after one particularly successful excursion. My older brother still refuses to eat them anymore even though he is over 40. If you have a mill you can also buy hogs feed, grind it to flour and make cornbread at less than 1/10 the cost of buying normal bread or flour.

I actually love beets... especially pickled beets. They've got a great, complex taste that's difficult to describe, but quite good. Kinda like radishes, but milder. Really tasty with salads, or cubed and mixed in with mashed redskin potatoes and garlic.

Also, though I bet it wasn't fun growing up with it, gleening fallen produce actually sounds wonderful to me. I would love to have a regular supply of fresh vegetables like that, even if it meant eating one kind for weeks. Instead, I need to get frozen or canned stuff; it's not cost effective to buy produce on a scale that I alone can eat, before it goes bad... and I don't think my roommate even knows how to cook a vegetable.

This is glorious.

Oh Japan.

P.S. Those were indeed flying panties, as advertised. I like pairing it with "Return to Innocence" though. Verily, I LOLed.

I had an EPIC dream last night, it was really very coherent, especially for my dreams, it combined elements of a ever so slightly 40k-esque sci-fi setting, with a dramatic storyline, a period of bloody slightly horror movie-esque scenes involving small little cavemen in a spaceship, and elements of greek mythology. It had strong elements of amnesia, power, and finding a purpose. It also turned into highlander at the end, and yes that was coherent in the story's context.

I'm really chuffed at my subconscious for having come up with this, I've even managed to remember most of it, it's just a shame that I forgot most of what went on in the middle of the story, but I remember the beginning and end.

Maybe I'll write up a synopsis of what I can remember.
