It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I accidentally broke my headphones laughing, now I'm off to find some superglue.

And I have another date tomorrow, with a different guy.  This time, he's in the math department.

HAH.

This is extremely appropriate considering I just finished playing through "Don't take it personally, babe, it's just ain't your story". Which is actually a pretty damn good visual novel about high school drama.

I didn't say that he was cute--just that he was moderately skilled in logical and deductive reasoning :3

But yes, I seem to have at least three guys who are into me right now, plus the dude that my mom thinks is into me.  So yeah, I'm doing quite well for myself.

Ehhh.... That statement came out a bit awkward, it's really about drama heavily (but not exclusively) centered around romance and relationships. I was thinking about romance, then I see your post. I was not comparing you to the visual novel.

There are more things that make a guy cute than simply looks.

or at least, that's how I view girls. I would presume guys are the same way.

Hm, moving even further towards theoretical fields? Drat. We biologists are pretty close to the bottom of the "Applied X" hierarchy (of xkcd fame). [/joke in what is almost certainly bad taste]

In seriousness, hope it's a good date!

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Ah, well... I think that three of these guys have cute personalities; two are more pleasant than the others in the looks department; and they're all fairly nice, though one is kind of crazy, one is a (mild) misogynist, and another one of them apparently doesn't understand the meaning of "on time."  I'm not too sure about the one I'm seeing tomorrow, on any front, because I haven't talked to him too much.

But, in any case, these guys are nothing like the dudes who asked me out in high school, so I'm happy.  I.e. they aren't declared members of the communist party who call their teachers Comrade, they know my name, they didn't have Issues with me being taller than them, they aren't female, and they aren't terrified of me.

That basically makes it good.

Hahaha >_>

Thanks for your good wishes!  Actually, though, it's not about purity of field--it's about not dating a guy in physics or compsci, because the math department has declared war (jokingly) on one and I kind of dislike the other.  Bio and chem are cool, as are the social sciences and so on... mostly.  I'll admit some prejudice towards some people in psychology and philosophy.  I really shouldn't, but it's there.

But, mostly, my hard and fast rule is "don't be an asshole," so in the end I'm just making fun of the physicists.  As usual.
