Is there any point in hiring people from M.E.R.C.? I've got one, and hired Buns from A.I.M. to make him semi-useful, but I'm really unsure about whether this is a good use of money.

The more money M.E.R.C. collects from you, the more members they add to their roster for you to hire.

Playing Arma 2 the other day, doing the Jackal scenario (You insert via HALO drop, alone, into an enemy depot to blow up tanks and disable the base.  It's pretty tough)

I parachuted into the base, and landed right in front of a patrol, complete with LMG-toting technical.  I had about three seconds to think "well, shit..." before they blew me away.

Good times.

Trying out LCS, and having a fun time learning the game the hard way (willingly). I'm allowing savescumming for learning purposes at least. My only other reference is jefmajor's LP of the game for some basic hints. At least getting started.

So far, it's pretty fun, though I haven't made too much progress, but still... Interesting game.

I'd reccommend Grimith's LP of it over jef's, though both are good.

I agree, jef's more fun to watch. Holds my attention better. Plus, I can generally deconstruct what he did by how he plays.

A lvl 3 teacher with some lvl 1 skills (Educate basic skills to members)

Yes, I patched the game as soon as I got it. Had my first ambush by Animals today; Bloodclaws jumped me, but met the business end of a bullet or 10.
