Well, I'll admit that it was a really long time since I read the relevant comics, but I seem to remember a good amount of stuff that was history-oriented and, you know, not just ragging on Poland.

I don't know if my opinion on that one sticks, looking back at it, since my sense of humor apparently goes a bit out of whack late at night.

PPE: ... Really, really out of whack, apparently =/  In any case, I'm not that fond of Flagland thus far, and Polandball has lost a lot of its charm in the cold light of not being asleep.

Regarding Flaglands it is kinda dry and is not for everyone, it is quite popular amongst the history-strategy gamers on the Paradox forums though.

I think the reason it got popular is infact that it's writer made an aar comic on a text heavy AAR forum. Lots of wonderful Alternative History made from played games ^^

I feel I must do a bit of shameless advertisement for my favourite, Anglo-Baltikja. It's Alternative history where a fleet of catholic saxons flee from England in  1066 to the Baltics and then mix with the local population giving rise to a baltic prussian empire eventually. He and his wife have even made a conlang for it, Anglo-lettish/anglo-prussian. It's awesome.

Edit: I feel I must mention that the writing only improves, the piece of work is 2 years old by now and has evolved to be better and better, however despite him not being professional it is highly entertaining imho.

Got bored, downloaded Rainmeter. Researched shell replacements, downloaded SharpE, got SharpE and Rainmeter to play nice after 20-30 minutes of tweaking. Am super-happy now

I expected Castille to be a rather easy game to play on EU3 but the start for it is actually rather difficult, Granada looks like a pushover but they have allies that can easily swarm your country side and dodge your army making it a bitch to fight them, then you have Aragon and Portugal who's sole reason for existence seems to be to kill you and will war dec you the moment they see your armies are busy somewhere. It took three test games till I figured out a good opening strategy... Ignore the Muslims and go bash on Aragon before they get too strong.  Of course I ended up the lesser partner in personal union with Portugal for nearly a Decade. >.>  FINALLY Though I managed to get out of that, go bash on Aragon till they ceded almost half of their provinces in Spain, and annex Granada.

I got my 2nd trimester report card in the mail.  I'm in High Honors again with a numeric gradepoint average of 98.111 which I guess translates to 4.0 GPA.

Well, I found myself another project I can take on using Photoshop. You can see the details in the DF Achievement thread. Seems like a good way to flex my Adobe muscles a little more. The last script/template I made was something that can make a planet out of any circular selection using my techniques, but less work, simple instructions. Actually, I'm basing the basic of basic elements of my version of the Achievement Generator on the scripts. The rest of the customization would be done according to the achievement maker's tastes (starting from a default setting resembling Steam's recent style).

Also tried out Sun Drop soda since it's something new to drink. I think I found a new favorite citrus soda. It's like drinking carbonated orange lemonade. However, it tastes like they finally got a formula (flavor/fizz factor) correct.


↓: That, indeed, is true. However, the soda itself is surprisingly good. The commercial failed, but my curiosity for new things triggered (plus, it was on sale today. Why not?).
