No we're doing the attempting to be meta and knowledgeable thing of a thing.

Yeah, pretty much.

Life's going to have its ups and its downs no matter what.  Doesn't matter if your family is stereotypically messed up or not.  Just run with it.

My dog's doing better. She's up and walking around. Still a bit wobbly, but otherwise fine. ;D

Are we doing the deep and meaningful, touchy feely thing today?

Max, I love you.

I love you too Nine, and when we get out of this, I swear were going to go to that baseball game!
I believe in you!

Allow me to make this more clear:

I think the "wishing we were more messed up" game is a stupid, wangsty, privileged response, and we don't need to play it here.  Let's just enjoy ourselves and be happy for Duke.

I spent half a minute staring at ein's avatar.

I swear to god that thing creeps the fuck out of me.

...

To be on-topic...

I saw a pretty cute girl the other day.

Talked a bit about video games and stuff, so yeah.

Don't know if I'll ever see her again at that school, but at least I have an ulterior motive to go there xD

... Damn, Duke, I think that anything we could say would be moot right now compared to you're monumental feat of happyness.

Congratulations on improving your family life.

I am happy because I S-Ranked the final boss of Bullet Heaven.

Haha, power metal.
It's been awhile...

I wish I could see what song you linked to :(

Hold fast friend!
For I am a master of all things linky.

I'm actually at work, so videos or downloads are both kinda bad  :-\

I agree with this for the most part.  I was more contrasting with the opposite sentiment.  People who will scramble for drugs or any quick pick up anytime they're feeling down seriously stunt their personal growth and the ultimate value of their life experience, in my opinion... and I've known way too many people who do this and put themselves in a state of permanent existential crisis.

Ah, well, I was mostly speaking in terms of envying others' pain more than I was about dealing with one's own difficulties.  So yes, I certainly agree with you there.
