That's the way pretty much everyone feels the first time.  Then they start figuring it out.  The main secret is that you really just have to do what the ICs say, though, and not say "well, I can't do that."  You have to give it a try.

Eh, and a lot of the scumtells you learn at first aren't always tells.  It's certainly a really, really complex game.  I've only recently started being interested again, because my style is evolving and it's getting a bit more entertaining to shape.

Sure, you will get lynched for being over confident, but you will get lynched more for not being over confident.

It's more a matter of how worried you are about being lynched.  The more you show that you're worried about being lynched the more likely people are to lynch you.  Because it's a much bigger deal for the scum to be lynched than the town (especially if dying would leave your partner on his own and potentially connected to you).

My problem is that, as I mentioned in the thread, I tend to be very flexible in my opinions, and will agree fully with whoever posted right before me. In other words, I'm a doormat, with no oppinion of my own, and I trust everybody implicitly.
