Meanwhile, about DF, I've not really played since 40d.
I started up a game a few times since then, but haven't truly played.

Meanwhile meanwhile, I got to watch animu in Japanese class.
I guess that's one benefit of being a higher-level student (there's actually only three of us in the class, so we sit in the back while Sensei teaches the second years).

I've played DF more than any other game, which frankly with my tendency to burn through them very quickly isn't saying that much... But ever since I started playing there's been a cycle.
I'll have started a game, and gotten a fair bit of the way through it, when some big bug or something wrecks the game for me or outright destroys it (be thankful all ye youthful for thy knoweth not the horrors of -3), making me give it a break for a while. Eventually the game reaches one of the big lulls in releases where Toady heavily reworks the game the first major one being the move to 3D, then I'd read about the features of the upcoming release and lose all interest in the current one.
These days I play DF less and less these days, but every couple of months I'll dig into the latest release when something interesting has been produced... Then the bugs kill it for me.

Two paradox interactive titles.

They were so cheep (both good games I hope, but discounted with age and the gamers gate sales.) I did not research them much.

One called Elven legacy, that, with all of its expansions over the years, is the 2.2 gig one. The other one is called Sword of the Stars and it comes with all of it's expansions.

The downloader has added 20 minutes to the estimated time since it started, but it looks stable now.
