Just watched Hero (the 2002 wuxia one). Was expecting it to be pretty good but it turned out amazing. There was plenty of time that could be 'filler' or 'stalling' time in other styles, but the art design was equally important as acting and cinematography, all three coming out in front of the narrative (which was good, but nothing without the other elements to lean on).

The downside being I was supposed to watch this last week and now that leaves me less than 24 hours to write my next essay which is about it. And I need to go to sleep very, very badly. But hey, I've proven pretty capable of getting up and cranking out work before...

So, today, I used everything that I wasn't supposed to in ways that it was not supposed to work, all in conjunction with my phone. During my shower, I took an old pair of speakers, plugged them into my phone, and plugged the USB power cord into my phone charger end. (The speaker in my phone is acting up.) Then, during the drive to work, I used the power cord to my USB hub to charge my phone (I have a car-lighter to USB and AC), whilst I used the breakaway cord to my work-issue Beats headphones as an AUX in cord, to play my Slacker radio over my car stereo speakers (which I promptly cranked up to 50. It goes higher, but I was afraid of breaking the windows.)

Ingenuity and needless complexity (I'm certain of it,) FTW!
