I was watching my roommate play Saints Row 2 last night, and we ran into a most amusing feature of the game. You see, in some areas you run into rather large groupings of pimps, wearing their flashy clothing and giving us samplings of atypical pimp-speech. What we found out though is that all pimps behave as though they are, in fact, a hivemind. Even though they are not a formal gang, per se, attacking one pimp will earn you the ire of all pimps everywhere. Before you know it, a huge swarm of pimps will have accumulated in your location for the specific purpose of beating you down. Run away from them, and the grouping will only get larger as more and more pimps join the herd. They will scour the landscape, picking up all objects in order to use them as improvised weapons. They will kill random passerby's that just so happen to bump into them, not knowing it would earn them the implacable fury of the pimps united. Killing the pimps did nothing, as more would appear from the woodwork, making the group larger and stronger than ever. When they catch up to you, sometimes they will not attack, but instead huddle around you and taunt you repeatedly, often blocking the path of the pimps that actually want to attack you.

It was very humorous to watch my roommate herd his large group of pimps halfway across the map before finally allowing himself to be killed.
