I actually have a goal now.  I'm going to see if I can work at Sikorsky Aircrafts after high school before and while in college because someone I know says they'll pay all my college except living there.

Which is really cool, they said they'd like me because I'm a young, bright electronic student.  My life goes on~  Geez I'm gonna have to get my actual drivers' license sometime.

I have no idea how to say that.

Huzzah for food!
My arm is still a bit sore. Took a little while for the blood to start coming out.

Also learned what a "phlebotomist" was.

It's one of those things all the 40 year old women going back to college are training to be, right?

That was an amazingly good guess.  I guess some trends are universal.

I've had a lot of blood tests done, and I have to say a good hand with a needle can do it near painlessly, a bad hand can cause incredibly agony, the person at our local clinic isn't too bad but she still isn't the sheer perfection I found in a woman who rigged up my IV when I was in a hospital at one point...

I've also had my blood drawn with a vacuum needle twice, it's much worse than the modern method which uses your own pulse to push the blood up the needle... One of the times I had my blood drawn with a vacuum needle I remember the woman took several vials, my mother was puzzled by this because that much really shouldn't be necessary.
I think in retrospect I know what was going on, I was really horribly ill and had spent most of a month at home, so social services was checking up to make sure I was really ill... I think the reason they needed several vials was to check that I wasn't being kept ill by something else... In any case, probably one of the most painful experiences of my life.

Huzzah dude, good to see you have a clear idea of what to do on the next step. And it sounds like a good job to have.

Ah, a kindof scholarship/ apprenticeship arrangement?  Sounds cool, and definitely a good sign if they want you.

I've had some bad IV-nurses before.  The worst was when I had a kidney stone.  They couldn't find my arm vein so they had to put along the inner part of my right wrist near the thumb.  Holy shit it hurt, I think they must have brushed against something because it made my thumb move involuntarily.

That's very bad, they obviously hit a nerve, which can damage the nerve. They shouldn't actually have let it stay there, the fact that they did reeks of incompetence.
