Started applying for game dev summer co-op jobs.

Wait, they have those!?

At RIT, we have quite the co-op program. We're required to do at least 3 quarters of co-op before we can get our BS degree in the game dev major. As for actually getting them, it's not like you can go in w/o the skillset; they pay you, and as such you need to come in almost as skilled as a regular employee. It's essentially a way for a company to do a long-term interview, get some extra work done, and not have to bother with the expected long-term employment of a regular employee. Can't entirely say how much the RIT moniker affects it, but from what I hear, just apply for a co-op position so long as they don't specifically state they don't have one, and you will eventually find one. Although don't expect it to be local or even within the same state, unless you happen to live in California. Some places do have specific paid intern/co-op positions advertised, but very very rarely. Or in large companies like EA and ActiBlizz.
