So the brass band I'm in has been practicing "Þursafónía", a medley of several songs from Hinn Íslenzki Þursaflokkur, or Þursaflokkurinn for short. That link plays three of their songs back-to-back, since that's how it was on the album. Anybody else like the style? I think it could sound even better with a brass band playing it properly. They've had weeks to practice but the flutes are still messing it up ::)

Barring a view moments I just found this guy from Reddit and he's got some good jokes.

I'll probably never get used to that "edit after you finish speaking" thing though.

I just finished my literary argument essay, taking the opposite view that the professor espoused on the story in question (A Good Man is Hard to Find).  The professor thought O'Connor was railing against God, and compared the inexplicable and inhumane deaths of the family to the author's lupus.  That sounds pretty good, but it doesn't fit with O'Connor's viewpoints.

Well, if your professor is open minded, he should find a different interpretation of the story interesting.

Yeah, my professor is pretty chill and it's not one of those 200-year old universities with ancient tenured professors, so I doubt she'll take any points off for disagreeing with her.  She encourages the short story analyses we do as homework to be completely off the wall if that's what we really got out of them.

Still, it was interesting to do, I've never done that before.

Hey, I'm hoping to go to an 800 year old university.

...Hopefully this kind of thing won't come up much in science?
