My birthday was indeed a week ago, but people started wishing me happy birthday again so I rolled with it.

*cough*

I am happy today because Iji.  Also because I am going to have a (vegan) hotdog with delicious Russian mustard for lunch tomorrow.  It will be amazing.

I'm happy because I'm doing math and getting problems right.

Math isn't inexplicably going wrong for me.

You feeling okay, math?  you're not acting like yourself.

No wait, there it goes.

Didn't even think to mention it.  In the middle of Dallas' annual ice storm, the mail was still running.  My diploma finally arrived.  It's not as fancy as I thought it would be, but I put a lot of half-assed work into this piece of printed cardstock, and it's good to finally be able to wave around in my hands.

... Everyone happy about math in this thread also makes me happy.

I will add my own happiness: if anyone remembers that angle-trisecting machine I invented last week, it turns out that a group member actually went and built one based on a slightly more complex design.  It's beautiful.  Absolutely stunning.

The professor for the course also commented that my group is always the one that finishes the fastest.  This is probably because I am the one doing most of the work.  He is also impressed out of his skull by my "Yes, I can easily keep up with Professor Poland when I feel like it" talents.  I feel hopeful for my future.

Additionally, I was able to teach a fellow student some mathematics today and my class seems to be bringing more game than it was before--folks are looking for better textbook sources, asking more questions, responding to more questions, and so on.  It's really excellent!  It seems that everyone is getting energized, and that gives me even more energy.

I don't think being underweight should allow you to judge overweight people.

The opposite, in fact.  You seem like a very angry person.

Your short.  You should be placed in a camp that makes you taller by hard labor.

maths need more love D:

Nearly all of my friends hold math in great contempt. I have no idea why.

Probably some unfortunate math class experiences in school :\

Yeah, I know... but I've found that when you continue to love mathematics with all your soul, it seems that more and more people will come to love it with you.  Just look at this forum, for example.  It really seems like we're slowly becoming more passionate.  And for those of you who still hate math, I'm sorry to hear that... but that's okay, too.

Just show them fun little problems from time to time, and maybe they'll come around.  That's worked for me in many cases.

I don't think I could say I have a love for math... but I do love logic.  Currently helping my wife through her symbolic logic class.  This is a higher level class than what I took, but I can still understand what's going on with it at a glance.

I agree with Toony, we need to make a camp where we pull on your head until I can look you in the eyes without bending over.

On Wikipedia, Fabio's biograph has two headings, "Author and Actor" and "Fabio gets hit on the nose by a goose"

Geese are serious fucking business.
