Vaguely.  Takes a while to get used to a new avatar (unless it's ToonyMan, where the shifting avatar is part of the mental image).

It's weird, until Janet pointed something out, I hadn't worked out your avatar was a cat.  I thought it was a thing with a weird kindof tentacle nose on top.

But yeah, "mental image" doesn't imply "representation of what I think someone's like in real life".

And yeah, I don't think it's gold-styled so much as conquistador-styled that makes this helmet mine. Unless there is a Touhou Conquistador character.
