. . .

Why did I think Barbarossa was a senior in high school?  I don't even know.  Maybe because Berkeley is trying to eat him and he's apparently a high school freshman.

Also, I'm 21, so let's just say it's even more creepy and leave it at that.

Stevie Nicks was a really good singer.  Funny how people ages 17 and 21 hanging out seems weird, but you live with a 35 year old roommate and that's essentially normal.

No, no.  14 and 21, according to Tack.

And I do feel a bit weird with the 35-year-old roommate, to be honest.

EDIT: In other news, Twilight Princess is super-cute.

Oh yeah, that's right.  I was so blinded by the chance to reference Fleetwood Mac I overlooked the fourteen part.  Which yeah would probably be unacceptable in any context besides this online dealie.  As for the roommate, I remember when you were first complaining about what a slob she was, that anyone who's still looking for roommates in their 30s and can't cut it as a single adult, is going to be pretty weird regardless.

I'm starting to understand Hiragana better, not that it's easy or anything because Japan has the normal Kanji for nouns and then a bunch of other systems for everything else.  I can't see somebody saying that a 26-letter alphabet is more complex then 2,000 somethin' common Kanji and then two main other systems for like syllables and verbs.

Just thought I'd share so the know-it-alls could berate me and the clueless could be bemused.

Kana are actually easier to read than the roman alphabet imo, once you know them. The alphabet has many letters that have like a dozen possibilities for how you pronounce them, and that's not even getting into diphtong shenanigans.

Of course, the Kanji make it so much more difficult.

Hey, I've learnt all the hiraganas.  Now I can read all the sound effects in mangas.

...It's actually really offputting.  WHAT THE HELL ARE THOSE RANDOM SOUNDS SUPPOSED TO MEAN

Although I've at least had one example where the Kanji is easier to write and understand than the kana, so...
