Oh, and for what it's worth, of course they're all frowning and stuff. That's part of the style the show is paying homage to. Have you ever seen old Japanese woodblock prints, and that sort of thing? Anyone who's fighting anyone (or looks like they might be) has this sort of frowny scowl on.

Yes, because it's hilarious.  Every character is a mishmash of classic stereotypes, including Jack, who was indeed named by some borderline-racist joke rappers.  I think my favorite was the pig-sheriff and the hillbilly deputy.
