I'm happy about spending the day researching and planning a game I plan to make, and shit will be so cash! Got a fair amount done today, especialy in the way of sprites. Or atleast for my standards I did, they take some time.

I have the distinct advantage of having made a few templates in the past, so that speeds up consept art a little, but for any movement beyond walking, back to the million hour long work of placing each pixel by hand.

Backgrounds I will be doing by pencil, then shop till it hurts.

I have the advantage of nicking them from Final Fantasy games and altering them.

Well that is also an option. I remember the times when I would steal and modify sprites by Paul Robertson. For some of the insane linework he makes, it took some practice.
Although the general indie community dosn't look too kindly on using other sprites...

of those, 7 and 8 I didn't like as much as 5 and 9

I have played 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 10-2 and 12. So a good mix of the old and the new.

Best ever: 10 (Despite bad voice acting in some parts, kick ass game was awesome!)
Look back at the fondest: 5 (My childhood romance)
Most hours playing: 12 (Fuck that game is long)
Funnest combat system: 10 - 2 (Boo hoo, X-2 had something good about it, DEAL WITH IT FAN BOYS!)
Best hero: 5 (Cloud was emo, Tidus was a jerk, everybody in 4 had issues and 6 had too many heros for any to stand out. Love you Bartz!)
Best Villan: 6 (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!)
