Aside from the rant list on the sister thread, my Winter Preparations is going somewhat well.

I decided last fall that instead of getting fit and ready for the warm weather in March and April, I'd train all winter so I can be fit for spring a season ahead, so instead of sitting around getting fat this winter, I'd be productive and preparing. Unfortunately the back pain was putting a hurt *rimshot* on the job I had to quit, so I need to secure a part time job for a few months. In April I plan to start my own business which will be non-stop in July and half of August. I need to be informed and prepared both knowledgeably, emotionally, and physically to be able to pull this off.

I also learned how to do leg lifts properly, keeping my shoulders on the ground, so I still may meet my goal of having a six pack before it gets warm. I'm thinking of working abs every day instead of every other day since I can't seem to tire them out all the way in just one day. I have no idea how I pulled them a few years ago.

He seems much more normalised by the end, after the reprogramming and then he gets better.
As though it gave him some perspective and balanced everything out.

Eh, I've never bothered reading it all through. Still liked it better than the crap we're reading in class now.

The Japanese word for grey means 'the colour of ashes.'
That's pretty badass in a macabre sort of way.

A lot of English books that I've read for class were actually fine. I think a lot of the negativity comes from the fact that you're forced to read it, since you come in with a negative mindset from the start. Even if you're open-minded about it, the book might not always be your cup of tea (whether it be the genre, the choice of words, age, or author). It can even be as simple as not being in a "reading mood" or not feeling very up to it.

As for the Clockwork Orange, I never actually got around to picking that book up. I shall do so when the opportunity arises.

灰色
灰 is ashes.
色 is colour, means colour of when added to another thing.

This. I spend too much time at school reading, just never stuff I'm actually supposed to.
