Successfully hacked into Uplink (the game itself, while playing), and been actively re-wiring a new profile to suit a personal challenge setting. (just saying something like this cracked me up).
April 1, 2011:
It is April Fool's Day, and a year since ARC's Revelation virus program was defeated. Considering your family has been locked up and having to answer for their crimes, you decide to take revenge on Uplink, and all the hackers involved. They have ruined your life, and thwarted the goal of ARC, the company you were to inherit this very time after it's Revelation program's mission was a success. Seeing as you are still able to connect online, it's a stinging reminder of the failure and shame your family has gathered.
Fortunately, you've remained out of the radar enough that you were able to find a way to sign in with Uplink to infiltrate their systems, and destroy them from the inside; and they don't suspect your true identity. Fortunately as well, an old friend allowed you his old gateway system that seems better than the Uplink standard, but is not top of the line. A decent all-rounder. However, you've had to take out a loan to bring it up a little more to speed with a few basic upgrades (and I mean basic). Though the CPU slots are filled, they just don't seem up to scratch, and the memory compartments are good, but could be better. We can always aim for a better machine, but we have a loan to pay off from Uplink as well for our own software and hardware upgrades. On the plus side, because the gateway was an IRC client, and was used as a server to setup MMO-games within, it has all the essentials you need for standard stuff to be done. Amazingly, it also came with it's own tracking software linked to the HUD, but we've re-wired it so it can assist us in case we get tracked instead; though I suggest we get a more time-based tracker.
Despite our gateway settings and such, we lack the real stuff we need, and we don't have much in funding to be able to take care of things how we really want to; we also don't have long until somebody catches on. This is going to be a hit and run infiltration/extermination/hacker genocide. Genocide may be a bit much, I think destroying their lives would be satisfying enough.
Mission:
Summary- We don't have long to get our revenge before somebody catches on (3-7 days). We have to destroy the lives of whoever has assisted, or caused, the destruction of ARC and Revelation. I want to know the names of these bastards, and destroy their lives thoroughly.
Goals:
-Find out the identities of the Uplink agents. (have fun with that one)
-Destroy their lives however you want. (Bonus points for how thoroughly)
-Optionally: Upgrade to a better gateway and better hardware to make things easier
-Don't arouse suspicion (Uplink or police)
-Become top hacker (happens as you find ways)
-Optionally- Have a decent relationship with the hacker community (remain as neutral as possible)
-Optionally- Find the source terminals of each Uplink agent and crash their computers.
Challenge:
Despite starting with a mid-grade gateway, mostly (adequately) upgraded, you begin like any other new game of Uplink; however, you have a limited time (3-7 days) to destroy Uplink in any way possible.
Login:
Name- Revelation
Password- NoFaith
I might upload the save, and see how everyone else does with this challenge.
EDIT:
C'mon, who didn't think of a campaign like this while playing?

EDIT EDIT EDIT:
Tested it out. I think I messed up and deleted something that would actually make the mission actually start. The entrance exam (no missions were available to help; so there was almost no other way to gain funds, other than stock market). Oh well. It was fun making at least. With those limited funds, it actually rendered the mission near-impossible to actually begin.
