I managed to get through a bus trip without feeling like I was gonna throw up. 'S a pretty good sign.

Will I ever stop mocking my homeland? Hahahah- no...

Don't feel bad, auto-lambasting is a national pastime in Poland as well. That road you've shown - it wasn't that bad. At least all the holes were filled. Also, living farther away from Germany, you don't get the grating experience of having to compare what comes off as roads here and there.

Well, the bus I have to catch through the city goes straght past the local uni, and as such, it is the favored bus of many students. Being populated by a notible number of students, I get a chance to talk to some of them. When ever possible, the female half of them. So I have met several cute girls on buses. 

Love the bus.

The amount of people is the specific reason I hate the bus.

My experiences on the bus:
Right after school: Bleh… Why the fuck is it so gods damned crowded and noisy?
Saturday, 15:00: Hey, this isn't too bad. Nowhere to sit, but not bad.
Saturday, 21:00: Wow, nobody's on. Hey cool, a friend just got on.
Overall, as long you avoid the bus between 14:30 and 15:30 on a weekday, it's not too bad.
Except mornings.
Mornings are always horrible.

I  guess it dosn't help when you 'menace with spikes of angst', so to speak. I like people a lot. If they like me or not is judged on a person to person basis...

  I guess the internet must be nice for you then, human interaction without the humans involved.

I used to be scared of people.
Got lost in an auction house when I was six.
I'm still quite wary of large crowds and overly nice people.
Complete strangers are okay, though.
I've had some amazing conversations and such at airports.

Ah, the sheer number of times I got lost in my youth. For some reason, if I got lost in a shoppping center, it seemed logical that people I know would be outside the shopping center, or beyond. My dear parents, however, could never imagen that such a small child would manage to find there way so far so quickly...

Specific people are okay, individuals. But there's something unsettling about crowds. I think part of it is a loss of identity thing and part of it is completely irrational.
