Snagged another 1 Mil into my Uplink bank account, and still not caught. While at it, I maxed out my gateway (top-class all-around, all 200GHz processors fill the CPU spaces (HOLYCRAPSPEED), and all memory cells filled (128 Gqs). I also maxed out all my software and security systems (1 motion and 2 self-destruct. I want to be certain evidence is gone; and I know that with something maxed-out nobody will be coming to that gateway anytime soon).

All this just in time to get my first storyline mission mail. Oh yeah, my balance is above 3M right now, despite my maxing out, and I finally restored my hacker-respect level back to neutral after accidentally arresting 2 top-10 hackers, and helping a few security bureaus with their software. Oh well, STORY TIME!!!

Also regarding my funds in-game: Money is so much not an object anymore. I lose my current gateway for any reason (kudos self-destruct), I can easily replace it, and all the software, and still have enough to make another carbon-copy replacement in case that one fails. Only 3 bank heists, and I am at this level. Wow.

I'm at this level, and have yet to figure out the LAN mechanics. I JUST got the software for that. Now the more beginner missions are for sport (except the money-tracking missions; those can turn into heists when done).

I had them both maxed, but then I didn't have enough points left to make him actually usable.

You do look like a trucker, trust me.  I wore a hat over my long hair for years because I thought it looked cool and meant I didn't have to worry about what it looked like.  Wrong on both counts.  My hair is much better and better looking without hats.

And yeah, long hair in school.  I get compliments from women on my hair all the time, namely because they wish they had it.  All these years, I've never figured out if that's a good "in" or not.
