My filmmaker cousin

And now he's given me some movies he has extra/Blu-ray copies of.

Watched the new Tron movie; not too bad overall. Although I have a few issues with the plot...

First of all, what the heck is the 'iso' from the Grid supposed to be made of now that it is out of the Grid? The movie makes it pretty obvious neither they nor any other programs inside even have an analogy to cellular material. They have code, which is directly tied to their existence in that they are manifestations of said code, as demonstrated by the instant regeneration of the body of the iso after the code was corrected. Moving something from cellular human construct to data in the Grid and back again, sure; the data required could be stored. But for iso's and other program's generation, it shouldn't be able to do much more than turn them into pudding on the other side.
Secondly, the iso being brought back out of the Grid is thus the equivalent of an alien coming to Earth. Even assuming they managed to covert a code-based entity into a cellular entity without any sort of problems, it would have no immune system. After all, in a computer, there are no germs, and the closest analogy, viruses, are not comparable except when comparing the entire computer to a human.
Thirdly, the ending made it pretty obvious the two had a bit more than a platonic relationship going on. What sort of children is having sex with an ex-computer program supposed to produce? Robocop?
Finally, CLUE, or whatever his name was, planned to take the equivalent of a floating battle cruiser through the portal. Considering it pops you out in the same office space, it would be more than a little crowded in that tiny basement room. And there is, of course, the issue of physics... The physics of things is certainly much different between the two worlds, and I get the feeling that a massive floating ship powered by nothing in particular wouldn't get all that far outside of the grid. To say nothing of the light cycles and fighters magicked up out of nowhere by splitting a rod in half.
So much weirdness with the entire premise of bringing programs out of the Grid...

Just think of it like an investment, I guess, kind of like how I accidentally Just Cause 2 for my Windows XP box.  You got it as cheap as it's going to get, and you'll get to play it eventually.

Every time I go "When I get a new computer, I can play all these game I couldn't play!" I die a little inside.

It's okay, as long as all of us are smart enough to block his ads, then he won't get any ad revenue and will eventually be forced to close it. Although, seeing as he can apparently afford a banner, that's not too likely.
