Glad to be back at work, because it beats lying in bed at home and mentally doing a first-draft of my obituary. Seriously, there were a few hours there on Friday evening where I wasn't too sure of my continued existence.

Still feel like crap, but at least I'm mobile and not slipping in and out of consciousness.

Well, just out of curiosity, I checked out how my Bloodfist schematics file is doing, and after a couple of weeks, it's almost past the 100 downloads mark. I can imagine what people are doing with it, also considering that you can import multiple ships into Minecraft; dare I say, ship-to-ship combat... In mid-air?

That actually seems like a fun idea for a server to use. Using my ship schematics, and enough players and materials, each team has 1-2 minutes to craft a TNT cannon or few (and also modify the ship with armor plating and such where needed, or to make it fancier), and when time is up, they can fire at each other. Battle lasts for 3 minutes, or until either the server crashes or one of the ships loses all their vert-engines or crew members, or enough of the ship to be rendered realistically unflyable. According to some old math I did for an airship-based forum game, that would be about 1½ of an engine block (5-6 props total). Another objective is also destroying both command bridges (topside and bottomside).

This can be all sorts of fun, if done right, and nobody botches the TNT-cannon design, and ends up blowing up half their ship. Ship raiding can also be done with a minecart, a properly-made TNT cannon, and a minecrafter.
