I am happy Spoony is as skilled at roleplaying a character as he is at running DnD games.
All I know is that he has a bitchin' headset.

Look what I got for you Cthulhu.  I know how much you have against Jim from The Office, besides this video being hilarious anyway.

Managed to get a jump on the game I'm going to run while I calmed down from my "episode" today.

I got a 99% on my first exam today and a 100% on my second exam. Despite the fact that my monitors went off partway through the second one.

Well, finally using my tvtrope powers to good use I'm reading everything about 1984 so I don't have to actually read the book.  Thankfully tvtrope seems to be in love with everything Orwell so I'm getting a lot of info compressed down.

Well aware. That said, aside from reading Animal Farm a long time ago, which I don't really remember, it's the only book of his I really know, and it's a great piece of writing and you should read it proper.

Yeah! If you don't like a book then it is your fault! Appreciate it! There is now way taste has anything to do with it, so start liking it! Frankly if you don't like it then you are not reading it properly.

If he's allowed to objectively state that it's a horrible book, I'm well within my right stating that it is objectively good and suggesting that he should read it.

Objectively yes. I just found the last bit you said about reading it properly a bit condescending, as if he is doing things wrong by having the wrong opinion.

I like to blog "Future Watch" stuff, keeping track of new advancements that have always been just around the corner in sci-fi land, to remind myself that yes we are indeed in the future now.

This is not future.  It is nearly-fantasy sci-fi; you just never saw this kind of thing in serious near-future works.  It is Star Trek and Doctor Who.  Yes it's simple but I can't wait until they make an audio version.
