I'm happy that somehow, despite having dropped out of school when I was 14, I'm top in my programming class.

School and programming class are different. And a high school's programming class is entirely useless, believe me.

Cool story. There is also hope for me then. Left high school due to personal problems, once I get my G.E.D. I'm going to take college classes on progamming and writeing.

That's not true. Any experience actually coding is useful. And most high school classes at least have you doing that. You won't learn a huge amount, but with programming practice is worth far more than lectures anyway.
