I was under the impression that overhead projectors are only those ridiculous light boxes that you put the transparent sheets over and it gets reflected off a mirror and through a lens onto a big screen.
Officially, I believe so. Unofficially, what do you call a ceiling-mounted projector? Well... I guess an overhead projector.

We just called those "projectors".  We differentiated them from the classical overhead projectors by just calling those "overheads".  Not that I was ever in a classroom that had both until college.

Heck, I thought touch-screens were still technomagery of the future past until my architecture professor brought his brand-new iPhone to class after getting one on launch day.  He naturally camped out to get the new iFad too, and was rather incensed when the class wasn't as impressed with it as he was.  Bear in mind, this guy is like sixty-something.

Took me about six seconds.  The key was the bells.  Reminds me of that fantastic Christmas-special episode of The Animated Series, where the Joker actually sings the song.  While wearing a tacky Pat Boone sweater, and riding a rocket-powered Christmas tree.

I thought the first panel was a festive pair of brass knuckles.

The thought that it might be a really uncomfortable but festive collar also crossed my mind.

Why the Hell have I never seen this happen?  I bet they'd work pretty damn well, and would add so much cheer to a round of fisticuffs.  Some day, I'm going to make this happen.

Come to think of it, if you sharpened the edges on those jingle bells it would be pretty nasty.

I can't wait for Dwarf Fortress to respect gloves with unarmed hits.  Shit, let's be santa.  Motherfuckers.  Then cue the festive beatdown.

Of course, I still have to write a brief essay in Spanish this afternoon and study for finals.  But it's smooth sailing from here on out, after some downright stereotypically close shaves.  Speaking of, I really need to shave.  I look like I've been up all night solving a murder.

Got that Spanish paper taken care of, with fifteen minutes to spare before work.  Hells yeah, I'm on a fuckin' roll.  It's smooth sailing from here on out.

I've also had a song stuck in my head all day.  All things considered, there aren't many better songs to find yourself uncontrollably humming.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
