Well, a strange twist happened today. Fortunately my Christmas gift order of a new computer for my mom successfully got cancelled (by request), and one thing led to another, and somehow everyone managed to find a better deal and set things up in a way to mark it off as a business expense.

Considering I also discovered my unemployment benefits are going to run out pretty soon, this was especially good news. Saved me some money. Helped me setup a gameplan for the new year, and go find some work that'll be of some help in the long-run. Hopefully I can freelance it and not have to worry as much about my income and/or time.

My buddy is over, and we'll be livestreaming some Cortex Command, and perhaps other assorted multiplayer nonsense in a short while (45 minutes or so). Stay tuned!

Also, looking at getting the following specs on my new machine, give or take a few accouterments. I'll miss my 6-year-old box, but it will be so nice to have fast, shiny equipment again!
