My sensei is pretty knowledgeable, so I think I'll be fine. She lived in Japan for numerous years during and after college, and since coming back she's been teaching constantly. The only thing that'll definitely be 'off' if I decide to do college-level Japanese is that we're learning Japanese with an Osaka accent, which is apparently equivalent to someone learning English in a Texan accent. It's just small stuff, though, that's different. For example, 'desu' is pronounced more like 'des' in this particular accent.

More than ever, I can tell that I'm stuck very deep in the woods, and this time no one can help me.  I'm here "alone" because I have to prove my worth now.  Right now, I'm nothing. . . but I want to become something some day.  Every time I meet my relatives, I'm reminded over and over again that I'm no one.

I listened to some music that made me feel a little bit hopeful, though.  I remembered some important things I'd forgotten.  So I'm going to try harder, now.  A little bit of sadness isn't a good reason to give up.

I've never heard desu not pronounced like des unless you're a girl.

Yes, the u is shortened quite a bit in most dialects, but it isn't there at all in Osaka-ben. Even if you're a girl.

Aqua+Yui - My favourite.
Insane Version - not played it yet.
Emerald Beta 2.2 - Don't like either of these Emerald romhacks.

I'm happy because History has finally gotten off of infomertials for the day, and the first show on is Ancient Aliens. Watching Double Down Man with no sound and trying to figure out what the hell he's attempting to discribe with dozens of wild hand gestures is hilarious.

 A week ago my sleeping schedule completely revered itself. Before then I stayed up late and had trouble staying awake in the morning. Nowadays I get up early and have trouble staying awake and night for no reason whatsoever. It just happened one day out of the blue. So yeah, quite a few nights of that awesome feeling, although it also meant a few nights of just vanishing and leaving my bros hangin'.
