It's... It's not in Japanese.  It's about the least Japanese Japanese game I've ever seen.

It didn't cross my mind that someone could get the original Japanese version of the game.  Does it still talk about Adam Smith?

It's still unmistakably real Japanese, it's just the least Japanese game I've seen actually made in Japanese styling.

Actually, I sortof see what you mean.  A game that's obviously Japanese without seeming particularly... uh, Japanese?

And I suppose most of the English dialogue was actually invented by the localizers.
