Damn, all the more reason to finally get this Linux thing done.

Anyway, here's the current roadblock:
# pacman -Syy
:: Synchronizing package databases...
error: failed to update core (no servers configured for repository)
error: failed to blah, blah, blah, whatever, I think I actually know how to solve this one
error: failed to synchronize any databases

Yeah, it was easy.
All hail the mighty power of the # and del keys.

The hopefully finally chapter has been written for Aqizzar's Adventures in Trading Used Cars.  I just drove home with my new toy...

Because today, I didn't have to drive my temperamental, rattletrap, slow-as-molasses Jeep.

No, today I just so happened to be borrowing my father's car.  The Fabulous Thunderbird, 440 cubic inches of all-American whoopass, custom suspension, hand-built air ram, Lenco four in the floor, and nitrous disguised as a wiper-fluid bottle.  Even with traffic, what was normally a 35-40 minute drive took 21, in air-conditioned comfort.

I like that car so much, I bought my own.  Obviously mine doesn't have all the kickass extras and crazy hotrod voodoo magic, but it's only a matter of time.  They're even the same color, and mine's in better shape than the old man's.

VvvrrroooooooooOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM

The best part is, I offered the dealer exactly what I got for my Jeep, and he took it without argument.  Hopy shit, what an awesome trade.

Dear god short shorts.
Why yes, it is advantageous to both not carry as much weight when running and have free range of motion. Though I must admit, they're a lot shorter than the usual. Normally the cross country shorts go two-thirds of the way down your thigh, which is short(er than) enough, but we got new uniforms for State.

My daughter stole one of my chips. "Uh, oh," I thought to myself, "I'm eating Ragin' Cajuns." They're about as hot as your average Buffalo wing. So, I expected a little crying, and lots of whining. I started to get up, to get her a glass of milk, when I hear a little voice go, "Dada? Hot." Yep, I knew it. I got up out of the chair, and asked her, "You want some milk?" She shook her head. "More chips, please. Yummy!"

My kid's turning out to be quite the warrior. ^_^

They aren't joking either. I lost my first .17 character to those bastards. Although, it might have gone better if my sleep status at the time wasn't "Sleep!".

Oddly enough, a lot of mathematicians are into the "free all information!!" movement, so if you ever want a math textbook I can probably hook you up with something.  I'm just surfing Amazon for Order Theory textbooks--and failing, but I have found some neat stuff on Modal Theory, Topology, and Real Analysis.
Hmm, do you get apocalyptic warnings from mathematicians about having their intellectual property stolen?

I keep making monk-like characters, and run around kicking people in the face.

Best one was a charge attack flying kick, instakill+knockback=wheeeee.
