Cat sleeps in my bed again
I have a story to share.
Last night one of my cats slept in my bed. He's never done this before. I know this because of what happened when he did. It started with him prodding me in the eye until I, out of reflex, moved into a position that allowed him to sleep with his head rested on my face. Whenever I moved he would jolt awake and move with me so that I couldn't escape him, no matter how I tried. What this mean was that I had a large furry warm cat draped across my head for most of a rather hot night, with my feet well wrapped up in blankets. So around about 3am I started to have hallucinations. I began to realize that him and me were playing Europa Universalis, with him taking on the role as the AI, and began to freak out about this mastermind cat somehow being as smart as a computer. During this hallucination I was fully cognizant of his real world actions, which eventually, to my befuddled eye, became a cat and mouse game of move, head bonk, move, head bonk, move, head bonk. So whenever he moved I would associate it with a game mechanic whilst
at the same time fully aware of the fact that he was not, in actual fact monopolizing an important center of trade but actually lazily rolling over onto his back. I was terrified, because he was beating me at every turn. Two things stuck out - first, he started chewing on my ear and my first thought was "Oh no, Prussia is invading!" and second, he started jumping at my feet a while later and I nearly had a panic attack at the attempted takeover of my distant colonies.
So yeah. Cat drives Jackrabbit batshit insane, more at 10.
