Nah, they're just the usual places.  Nothing particularly funny.

EDIT: Bah, I just checked and Google doesn't want to let you replicate Journey To the West.  Hrmph.

Go to Google Maps
Click Find Directions
Type in Japan as the start point and China as the end point
Look at direction 43.
Try Japan to USA, direction 27. Personally, I prefer America's solution.

How does it choose where to start you, anyway?  And why does it have an unmarked "head north 50m"?

Why does it want to go through Washington state?  Wouldn't the vastly short route be Santa Maria, California?  As long as you're kayaking anyway, you can arrive anywhere you want.

America to Britain used to yield "Swim across Atlantic Ocean" only to arrive in... France.  And then take the ferry.

Incidentally, it gave you 5 weeks to cross.

I wants you to jetski across the Pacific. I wouldn't expect anything logical :-P

e, It won't tell me how get to the US from Israel, I guess I'm stuck here for the next few years. I won't even tell me how to get to Lebanon.

It does make me wonder how viable it would be to jetski the Pacific. It's a fairly fast kind of water craft, and if you packed some food I don't imagine it would take more than a week.

And how exactly are you supposed to pack food, water, possibly medical supplies, on a jet ski? Last time I saw one, there was no trunk for that junk.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

You'll bundle all of it up, boxed in watertight plastic, and then glue those boxes to skis. Then, you will tie the boxes to your jet ski. You will form a train of luggage behind your jet sklocomotive. I foresee no problems.
What about fuel?

currants
Currants are alright, but I personally wouldn't go that far out of the way for them when I can just buy them at a store.
