The iPhone 4.1 firmware was finally hacked. It's pretty damn awesome.

Speaking of; Why can't they come up with wristpad computers? I would totally buy one.

I'd like to remind everyone that half of the time I don't even know what I'm talking about. The other half of the time I only sort of know what I'm talking about.

some of the smaller netbooks could conceivably be used as wristpad computers. The eee 901 comes to mind

Tablet PCs and similar electronics such as the Dell Streak are ideal candidates also.

This sound legit to you? I suppose it's possible, but something about that explanation screams "*ID10T MODE ON*..."
That looks like a scam. No way that thing can gauge chips without frying them, the electronics within a camera aren't RF chips, they're insulated.

I think the idea is that the light from those LEDs reflects off of the CCD. That might work... but it just doesn't sound right. The thing is, the folks selling it are supposedly a legitimate company, so who knows...

They have. I own one.

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

I shall wear mine tonight with pride but alas, my school's lack of knowledge about the day means I cannot wear one to school.

If I get challenged, all I have to do is take off my jacket and tie- I'm wearing exactly what I wear every day underneath. Besides, it doesn't count as out-of-uniform if you out-style the uniform by a factor a WUN BEEEEELLLION.
