Oiled up and sharpened a pair of old scissors (made in West Germany old) and was spinning them around and doing cool stuff with them.
Nobody got hurt.

Holy hell, the name I chose for Japanese class can be pronounced Raito.
Quick, someone get me a haircut and a black notebook.

I forgot what my favourite word was for a week and got kind of upset about it, but I just remembered it again!

Ensconced.

Mine's a fairly common favourite word, I fear.

Defenestrate.

Hysterectomy.

I chose that at random for the sound of it. Words are such wonderful things, I can't choose just the one.

It's hard to pick one favorite word out of the thousands we have, but I like either 'Hippomonstrosesquippedaliophobia' for the irony, or 'Fantastic', because I can pronounce it like an announcer.

My cousins are coming out this weekend, and I am totally dragging them to the Renaissance Festival with me! I think I'm going to buy an english flute or panpipe there, and proceed to play it whilst frolicking about like a jolly jackanape. I may even wear a foppish hat, if one can be found.

Also making me happy is some delicious Ghallaba with tomatoes, peppers, onions, and carrots, and some Baklava. That and my fridge is filled with enough freshly-picked apples to make 5 pies. So many pies! :D

It was a good day.

That wouldn't happen to be at Casa de Fruita would it?

Though I'd love to visit the West Coast again, sadly no... the apples were independent. This RenFest is 2/3 to the other side of the country.
Pity, I'm working the Casa de Fruita one.

I'm, unfortunately, not going to be going to Holly (The Michigan Renfest) this year. Too much to do. :(

The irony is kind of diminished when you find out it was intentional :s

My current favorite words to use in conversation are Obfuscate and Basal.

I'm, unfortunately, not going to be going to Holly (The Michigan Renfest) this year. Too much to do. :(

Aww, we could totally hang out though! Laughter is also the best medicine, and I bet my cousins and or I could make your daughter smile enough that her wrist could spontaneously heal up.

Just in case, we'll be going tomorrow... or possibly Sunday. I may even be able to offer you guys a homemade Apple Pie.

I have so many words that I use excessively.  "Inordinate" is near the top of my favorites.  "Whinge" and it's conjugations hold a surprising top spot too.

My morning class was canceled, after I narrowly avoided being pull over for speeding, and then fighting my way through the library printer lines, all just to get there on time.  I'm actually kinda ticked, but that class puts me to sleep anyway.

As I was walking across campus with the class canceled, I had the luxury of stopping by the first Campus Democrats table I've ever seen on the lawn (as opposed to the College Republicans pavilion which is almost a permanent fixture).  I'm not exactly fond of zealots of any stripe, but the guy manning the table was a cool dude, and we had some good laughs over how big a douchebag Rick Perry is.  So I'm on the mailing list.  Then I found out that a girl I'm trying to meet is the president of the organization.  So I'm on the volunteer list.  I always knew this politics gig was going to pay off for something.
