I don't know if it was supposed to be a kind of insight dream or something, but for some reason I "woke up" to being at my high school (though before the dream started, I had like a roguelike start screen asking where I would like to start, and I chose the bus stop). Well, the thing is, the high school I attended is an old campus (either already condemned or leveled), and a new campus was developed a couple years ago in a different location. Well, in the dreamscape, it was a total carbon-copy of how my years were, except there was absolutely nobody there at all.
It took me a good moment to understand the situation (it was a rather lucid dream if I recalled correctly as well), and I also quickly recognized where I traveled to. What impressed me was, like I stated above, the content of the dreamscape. Excuse the broken-record of this, but it was a carbon-copy of my old high school back in the years I attended sans people. The level of detail was ridiculous; even to insignificant details like cracks in the paint, cement, and etc. (even the poorly stocked vending machines) on certain structures. Furthermore, I remembered where all my old classes were (and those doors were automagically unlocked; and the layouts were exactly as I remembered them), and classes I never attended were a generic prediction of layout based on the nearby rooms, just sans content/doodads/residual classroom antics (except the standard chairs/desks/tables; just "mint" (average) condition). dd to this experience, all my senses were active, so those were remembering the odors and everything of the locations.
I think the best ways to describe my dreamscape is if The Matrix meets a roguelike meets Inception. Residual (RAM (Random-Access-Memory) memory fills in the blanks; like I described how the rooms I never accessed filled in the blanks by using setups that made the most sense according to what I would expect them to look like.
Going on... Considering it was a lucid dream and nobody was there, I think I remembered my old chemistry class was the nearest room I could access, like the crap security my dreamscapes would have, the door was unlocked, and it was fully stocked. It was neat screwing around with the lab, but then I found (for some reason) a huge brick of potassium or phosphorous, not sure which, and an idea came to mind: If there are some cars in the Driver's-Ed space, I wonder what will happen if I drop some of this into the gas tank? And so I did, of course handling it with care (despite it being a dream). Let's say that when I molded and rigged the gas tank open, I dropped the stuff in, ran like hell and hit the deck. It was a bit disappointing, but still satisfying watching half the car burn up and hearing random popping noises come out of it.
I think I also wandered about looking for my old locker, surprisingly remembered the old combination, and screwed around with my expectations every opening of it to open to random crap. but yeah, it was a fun dream since I got to take advantage of all sorts of bizarre ops that would otherwise be impossible to do IRL for various reasons. Let's also toss in that there were multiple cars in the Driver's-Ed class area, and although not the best cars overall, they were still fun to drive in loops trough track and field, do donuts in the football field, and make a challenging driving course through the entire campus. It also helps that the A/V class had plenty of equipment I rigged together to make a recording of my entire run and edit together to something more watchable. To go through that course without damaging either the car or the campus, near impossible. I think I even crashed into one of the portables just to see what would happen. Thank goodness for being able to teleport in dreams.
I think I also made all sorts of bizarre setups in the class auditorium too. Like a crazy-ass Rube Goldberg device being setup, and watching the show from the seats. Or coming into a cinema instead of an auditorium or whatever. I think I have a new favorite dreamscape. Maybe because of how dull school life really was, the dreamscape makes up for it. Kinda makes me want to make a Garry's Mod level based on it. Unfortunately, I lack level-making skill.
