So I was reading up on some SWAT Kats, when I decided, "Hey Chris, you're bored, why not go ask Google about Callie Briggs?"  I wasn't looking for rule 34, but guess what.  Google suggested it.  Holy hell people.  Enough people have searched for Callie Briggs rule 34 that it is now one of Google's search suggestions for Callie B, along with Callie Briggs SWAT Kats.

Hell, internet.  DAMN.

And no, it wasn't very well drawn.
Callie seems like a boring person. I'd bet if the show was cast with people like it originally was, no one, or at least dramatically less people, would care about her. A dorky appearance and a dorky personality, with Damsel in Distress syndrome, make for a lame person.

I'd love to see a non-kids-cartoonized version of SWAT Kats, cats or no cats, though it sorta defeats the point. Razor and T-bone were awesome. Even the commander is cool even though he was so flanderized with his duty.

I got a surprisingly excellent night's sleep
Ah, so did I. My alarm didn't ring so I got to sleep until about eight AM. Only downside is I got to school late.

Suddenly, I've started having dreams I can remember again, which is something I've greatly missed. The last few haven't been particularly "good" dreams... in one, I was trying to save my family from a forest fire that was surrounding the cottage we were staying at, and ultimately failing. In another, I was bound to the service of some demon of decadence and gluttony, in a palace that sat over a river of blood and flesh (it was really, really gruesome, hedonistic, and entirely unpleasant... rather like a Clive Barker novel), and I was forced to choose between helping it do horrible, horrible things to people, or suffering the same fate as them.

Last, I had a dream where I realized it was a dream, and I tried to use my camera phone to record videos of it, so I'd be able to see it when the dream was over. I was disappointed to wake up, and realize that I'd been bamboozled by dream-logic yet again. Even so... I'm really glad to have the nighttime entertainment I used to have back! It tends to make for great story fuel.

They usually end in either some terribly embarrassing way, or when I notice it's a dream.

Also, ac/dc make me happy.

Oh man I had a dream where it was a drugland inside this apartment building in the middle of the sea. Gravity was fucked and everybody was a murderer, at the end I got stabbed by several needles containing Meth, tons of meth. I loved it.

I have a shirt that says "smoke meth every day". \m/

I had an interesting dream recently; more based on content, rather than what happened in it, though I did take advantage of the situation.

The meth part was horrible, the surrealism was the great part.

Yeah, dreams are the best when they're closer to reality.

My mentor all through high school was this huge gentle bear of a man who emphasised the importance of being aware of your dream-self. He taught me how to keep a dream journal, to lucid dream, and to question the nature of truth as it appeared in the waking life and in the dream life.

My favorite dream of all time was one where I met a girl I knew in the dream, but suddely I had this flashback to the real life while still in my dream. Then, my dream self went around and told these weird dream-versions of the people I knew who they were in the waking life, completely unaware that the waking life is "real" and the reality that dream-me was in was actually the fabricated one. It was a total mindfuck, seeing all my friends and realizing they existed in some other form is some other dimension of reality.

Makes a man wonder.

Funny thing, sad as it may sound, but sorta like Inception, I tend to have some recurring themes or people that don't exist IRL but tend to stop by in the dreamscapes. Some things become future Deja Vu, and some people could be divisions of my personality. Heck, there's a select few "beings" (not all are human-like; hell, I have a pet dragon there even) that I keep close kinda like good friends.

I dunno, have you ever run into old childhood imaginary friends before in dreamscapes? It's interesting looking at their histories, from goofy/interesting (childhood version) to newer editions where they become total badasses (adult version). It's like the difference between looking at canon Pokemon illustrations, and then looking at the more mature fan renderings of them (that look a bit nightmare fuelish). I would have to say, looking at timelines of my innerspace can be rather trippy if you're watching it transform over the course of years in minutes/seconds. I must've been through a ton of crap in my life, but somehow kept my personality intact.

Kinda makes me happy thinking of that. It's like remembering all the crap in my life I have had to deal with, and then re-realizing that I overcame them despite the odds I would ever get over them. Reminds me of just how strong I really am, at least in spirit. I dunno, kinda gives me some inner peace; a rather humbling experience.
