All that talk of jam and home-brewed beer has reminded me of when we used to make raspberry and blackberry preserves from the bushes in our back yard. Once the apples and pears are in season in a few weeks, I think I'm going to make some spiced apple butter and pear preserves... oooh, and some pies.

I've really missed Autumn.

P.S. I am happy that Toony has once again revealed himself for the Troll he is.

On my fifth try, the first one today, I have bested the final boss of La-Mulana. Huzzah!

I shall doubtlessly end up plunging myself into despair with the Hell Temple, but that is a project for another day.
OH GOD YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING YOURSELF INTO. On that note, have fun and remember! Sequence breaking! Huzzah!

Hmmm, those trebuchets. I like their counterweights...
I say, those counterweights are making my beam rotate.

A free period first thing on monday, allowing you to sleep in, makes all the difference.

The photographer obviously knew his engineering.

I get the feeling he took this photo for the projectile in his sling and not with his engineering knowledge.

I was playing Just Cause 2 last night and figured out something awesome. It is common knowledge that one can hook your grappling hook to 2 vehicles or objects at once to attach them together. It seems that works with the passenger jetliners at the large airport near the city as well. I set up a pair of jetliners on the runway, one behind the other, and then hooked them together. I got in the first passenger jet and managed to take off, pulling the second plane up with me. :D

Unfortunately, it only lasted a little over a minute, as the second plane tends to swing around a bit, and it turned sideways. This of course acted like a giant airbrake, causing my plane to stall and both crashed into the ground. Unfortunately, print screen didn't seem to work (stupid console ports or something) and so I couldn't get any screenies of it. :(

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.
